As a Skills Practitioner you will provide Learning/Technical support to staff and students within the department and to support the process of assessment and workshop learning. You will also provide workshop maintenance to a range of equipment and consumables to enable high standards of facility for the learning environment.
In your role as a Skills Practitioner you will liaise with internal and external customers/stakeholders as necessary or required, provide feedback to students that will aid successful progression and achievement and stock control, to include ordering and issuing of supplies.

About You
We are seeking to appoint an organisedand efficient member to our team who has excellent communication skills and can facilitate learners on tasks. You will also provide demonstrations as required in class to aid the delivery of outstanding provision within EKC Group for this it would be advantageous that the candidate have a qualification in either site carpentry or joinery or equivalent experience.
You will have recent industrial experience in the construction industry, either on site or in a workshop if joinery background. Ideally, they will have experience of education or involvement in training in the workplace but not essential as training will be provided. They will be able to work with young people to achieve and succeed their full potential aligned with the culture and ethos of the Group.
You will have a key responsibility for Instilling and upholding strong Health & Safety standards in practical environments and will purchase resources and materials within budget.
