The Governing Body of St Illtyd’s Catholic High School is seeking to appoint an exceptional, faith‑filled, and inspirational Catholic Headteacher who will lead our community with integrity, compassion, and a deep commitment to the mission of Catholic education. As a thriving and inclusive 11–16 Catholic school with a proud tradition of academic achievement, pastoral excellence, and Gospel‑centred values, we are committed to educating the whole person—spiritually, morally, academically, and socially. We seek a Headteacher who: Is a practising Catholic with a strong personal faith and a clear understanding of the distinctive nature of Catholic education Leads with moral purpose, humility, and strategic vision Will work collaboratively with our Senior Leadership Team, passionate staff, and highly committed Governing Body Will deepen partnerships with parents, parishes, local Catholic primary schools, and the wider community Will champion an inclusive, ambitious curriculum that supports the needs and aspirations of every learner Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
