Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven,Primary Teacher to join one of our exceptional SEND schools in Liverpool to work on a full-time or part-time basis beginning in September!

What You’ll Be Doing in the Role:
1. Plan, deliver, and assess differentiated and engaging lessons that align with each pupil’s EHCP, academic level, and individual learning style, ensuring access to a broad and balanced curriculum.
2. Create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment that supports emotional regulation, sensory needs, and positive behaviour, using consistent routines and visual supports.
3. Lead and support a class team, including teaching assistants, by providing clear direction, modelling best practices, and fostering a collaborative and reflective working culture.
4. Liaise with families and external professionals (e.g. therapists, social workers, educational psychologists) to ensure holistic support for pupils and contribute to reviews, reports, and multi-agency planning.
Essential Qualifications:
5. Qualified and Continually Developing: Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN (e.g., autism training, behaviour management, communication strategies, safeguarding, and Team Teach).
6. Personalised, Inclusive Teaching: Plan and deliver highly differentiated, individualised lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils, including EHCP targets, sensory profiles, and communication styles.
7. Effective Communication and Behaviour Support: Consistently use appropriate communication methods (e.g., PECS, Makaton, AAC) and positive behaviour support strategies tailored to each pupil’s needs.
8. Teamwork and Safeguarding Commitment: Work collaboratively with support staff, families, and multi-agency professionals while maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding and emotional wellbeing for all pupils.
