Commercial Manager – Histology & Microtomy Instruments

Kinara group is working exclusively with A well-established European manufacturer of precision microtomes and histology instruments is expanding its commercial operations in the UK and Ireland.
They are seeking a Commercial Manager to lead market development activities, managing direct customer relationships and distributor networks across clinical, academic, and research laboratories.
This role combines strategic sales management with hands-on business development ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, growing accounts, and representing a respected brand within the pathology and life sciences community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead sales and business development across the UK & Ireland for histology and microtomy instruments.
* Develop and manage relationships with distributors, NHS pathology labs, academia, and private research institutions.
* Identify and convert new business opportunities while maintaining existing key accounts.
* Represent the company at tradeshows, exhibitions, and industry events.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast sales, support marketing activities, and enhance brand visibility.
* Track performance metrics, customer feedback, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
Ideal Background:
* Proven experience in life science, diagnostics, or medical device sales.
* Strong understanding of histology, pathology, or related laboratory workflows.
* Confidence presenting technical instrumentation to scientific and clinical users.
* Experience managing distributor networks and direct key accounts.
* Self-motivated, commercially minded, and capable of driving sustained revenue growth.
* Full UK driving licence.
