Job summary A key member of the Underwriting team whose primary function will be to price Property risks, both new and renewal clients, on behalf of Underwriters. This role is for a 6 month short term contract. Main duties; The pricing of Property risks, both new and renewal, on behalf of Underwriters Providing statistical information to Underwriters when required Prepare renewal lists Be an active participant and contributor within the Underwriting team Chasing brokers in advance of renewals and “not taken up” risks Pro-actively manage new business pipeline on behalf of underwriters Monitoring of modelling of risks to speed up process Responsible for Underwriter modelling queries Providing statistical information to Underwriters when required Act as gatekeeper / Underwriting point of contact to UW Ops Liaise with Exposure Management team to run CAT Models (RMS) Assist with Underwriting notes of a risk Analysis of CAT exposure per risk, and also at portfolio level Assisting with developing and/or enhancing new Underwriting tools for underwriting analysis Assisting underwriters with general day to day admin Assist and continue to develop best practice process for the Underwriting team to work with UW Ops and maintain strong working relationship with UW Ops team Skills & Competencies Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels Highly organised, with strong planning and time management capabilities Works collaboratively as part of a team and adapts well to high-pressure environments Self-motivated and proactive, with a sense of responsibility Capable of working to deadlines and delivering results within structured timelines Education A' Levels Degree ACII ABOUT US Chaucer is a leading insurance group at Lloyd’s, the world’s specialist insurance market.
