We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Slough. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to support pupils as they transition into Key Stage 2, building confidence, independence, and strong learning foundations across the curriculum.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 3 class, delivering high-quality teaching across all areas of the National Curriculum. You will plan structured, engaging, and creative lessons that inspire curiosity and support pupils as they adapt to the expectations of Key Stage 2. A strong emphasis will be placed on maintaining high expectations for behaviour, learning, and presentation, while ensuring pupils feel supported and included.
Assessment will play a key role in your practice. You will use a range of formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor progress, identify next steps, and inform planning. Differentiation will be essential to ensure all pupils, including those with SEND, EAL, or additional needs, are able to access learning and achieve success.
Collaboration is a core value within the school. You will work closely with colleagues across Lower Key Stage 2, support staff, and senior leaders to ensure consistency and progression. Strong communication with parents and carers will also be encouraged and supported.
This role is suitable for Early Career Teachers and experienced practitioners. ECTs will benefit from a structured induction programme, mentoring, and regular professional development, while experienced teachers will have opportunities to contribute to curriculum development and school improvement initiatives.
