About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and pragmatic Employment Solicitor to join our expanding legal team. Based primarily in Kent, with regular access to our Mayfair office, this role offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients—from SMEs to high network individuals and entrepreneurs—on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
You will be instrumental in advising clients on complex employment law issues, representing them in tribunals, and supporting HR teams with day-to-day legal guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advise employers and employees on all aspects of employment law
* Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and handbooks
* Handle employment tribunal claims, including advocacy where appropriate
* Advise on redundancy, disciplinary, grievance, and dismissal procedures
* Support corporate transactions with employment due diligence and TUPE advice
* Deliver training sessions and workshops for clients on employment law topics
* Keep abreast of legal developments and contribute to client briefings and updates
Requirements:
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 2+ years PQE in employment law
* Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law
* Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills
* Experience handling tribunal claims and advisory work
* Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
* Willingness to travel between Kent and Mayfair offices as required
Desirable:
* Experience advising clients in regulated sectors (e.g., healthcare, finance, education)
* Familiarity with international employment law issues
* Interest in business development and client relationship management
