Farrow and Ball – Product Specialist, Wimborne, Dorset (37.5 hours per week) We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Research & Development team in Wimborne as a Product Specialist. We are offering this position on a full-time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday. We are looking for a Product Specialist to be responsible for the development, optimisation, and governance of a premium, design‑led product portfolio across our Farrow & Ball paint and wallpaper. This role sits at the intersection of brand vision, customer insight, innovation, and commercial performance, ensuring Farrow & Ball’s products meet exacting aesthetic, sustainability, and quality standards while also aligning to our broader strategy. Operating with a global mindset, the Product Specialist ensures product decisions and performance assessments and innovation opportunities reflect the needs of Farrow & Ball’s international markets, including the UK, Europe, and the USA. Acting as the central coordinator for product lifecycle management, the role brings rigour, transparency, and effective stakeholder alignment—enabling efficient decision‑making and reducing the operational burden on specialist teams. What we expect from you as a Product Specialist. Key Responsibilities: Co-ordinate and maintain an insight‑driven multi‑year product pipeline balancing innovation, renovation, and continuous improvement. Ensure alignment of the product pipeline with long‑term brand and commercial goals. Own and coordinate market, customer, and competitor insight. Translate insight into actionable recommendations. Maintain strong awareness of colour direction, design trends, and consumer behaviour. Act as central coordination point across R&D, Technical Services, Compliance, Operations, Brand, Sales, and Finance. Represent multiple functions in project meetings to reduce demand on specialist teams. Coordinate product and packaging changes. Monitor and report on product performance, profitability, lifecycle health, and customer perception. Support assortment optimisation, including wallpaper. Ensure regulatory and sustainability compliance. Key Attributes: Experience in product or project management. Understanding of coatings, colour, materials, or decorative markets. Strong analytical and commercial skills. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability. Strategic thinker with analytical discipline. Highly collaborative with excellent interpersonal skills. Proactive and self‑driven, comfortable navigating complexity. Organised and action‑oriented with strong follow‑through.
