£25,965.41 Per Annum (£27,112.48 achieved after 18 months of successful performance in the role)


Working Hours:

37.5 hours per week


Working Pattern:

Shifts, every other weekend working


Location:

Wycombe Projects, Old Tea Warehouse, High Wycombe

The difference you will make as a Support Worker

You will be working from one of our supported services providing support to our customers in various ways, such as connecting them with employability coaches, helping them manage their money, signing up for benefits, or moving to a more permanent home.

It will be your job to boost their confidence and support them on their journey as they rebuild their lives. You will need to keep records of everything, so some admin work is involved. This role can be tough at times but also incredibly rewarding. You need to be resilient, empathetic, and able to leave work at work.


About you

We are looking for someone with:

* Experience working with vulnerable people
* Experience delivering structured support and risk management
* A caring and empathetic nature, resilient, with a can-do attitude, and able to work as part of a team
* Understanding of supporting vulnerable people, possibly including personal experience with homelessness or addiction
* Ability to work flexible hours, including lone working

Role Profile


Supporting Customers

Using Psychologically Informed and Trauma-Informed Care principles, support customers to develop independence by:

* Co-producing support and move-on plans with stakeholders
* Reviewing support and risk plans regularly
* Engaging customers to meet outcomes and develop life skills
* Supporting with day-to-day tenancy matters
* Promoting employment, education, and removing barriers
* Signposting to external support services
* Supporting tenancy readiness and financial independence
* Monitoring healthcare needs and medication management
* Leading support initiatives including group work
* Ensuring safety through safeguarding procedures
* Recording customer information accurately


Service Delivery

* Facilitating referrals and assessing new customers
* Contributing to housing management, income collection, and tenancy support
* Maintaining a safe environment and reporting concerns
* Cleaning and preparing rooms
* Handling challenging situations sensitively
* Developing local partnerships
* Carrying out administrative duties
* Additional duties as assigned


Additional Information

* Flexible hours and travel required
* Using Lone Worker system when necessary
* Adhering to policies and delivering in line with Riverside values
