Salary: £55,000 - 60,000 per year Requirements: Strong knowledge and experience of AWS core services, including but not limited to Control Tower, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, SES, Lambda, Route 53, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch Knowledge and experience of Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform Strong knowledge and experience of AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, NAT gateways, VPNs, and direct connect Knowledge and experience of AWS Security Hub, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Inspector, Network & Web Application Firewalls, and Shield Knowledge and experience of IAM and IAM identity centre, as well as MS Entra ID (MS Azure Active Directory) as an IdP for SSO Responsibilities: Work with the Cloud Infrastructure Lead to develop and maintain UK Biobank’s AWS environment Provide expert advice and assistance with the deployment of AWS technologies Work with development teams to build, deploy, and maintain AWS services such as standard compute, serverless compute, storage, databases, containers, and networking Collaborate with the Head of Information Security to implement and maintain security measures that safeguard the AWS environment and protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of UK Biobank services and data Ensure systems and services are configured to log event data correctly and securely, and that the data are copied to the organisation’s SIEM solution for analysis Technologies: AWS Lambda Active Directory Azure Cloud CloudWatch EC2 IAM NAT Network Security Serverless Terraform Web DevOps Support More: At UK Biobank, we’re modernising the systems and cloud platforms that underpin world-leading research.
