The purpose of the role is to…
* Understanding of the client’s refrigeration specification and requirements.
* A working knowledge of the client information portals.
* Attend / Lead client, projects, consultants and design team meetings.
* Provide refrigeration detailed design for new and refurbishment projects.
* Design of variable load systems operating on HFC, HFC/HFO Blends and Natural refrigerants, with differing technologies dependent on client’s specifications, for new and refurbishment projects.
* Progress and specify plant solutions to suit site constraints.
* Researching new design solutions to support the client needs.
* Analyse data for report writing or problem solving.
* Carry out desktop studies, specification writing and reports to a high standard.
* Complete design risk assessments.
* Survey and report on existing refrigeration installations to identify customer requirements.
* Auditing Refrigeration detailed design from refrigeration contractors.
* Auditing Sub-contractors and contractor's installation.
* Provide financial support and advice for equipment and projects.
* Working to British (BS), European (EN) and other standards, ensuring compliance to the latest regulations
* Calculation of energy usage, carbon impact, leak detection and ventilation requirements etc
* Comprehension of third-party software, including but not limited to Micropipe, MicroCalc, Mistral, Bitzer, and Kelvion.
* Conduct post project reviews to determine areas for future improvement.
* Providing training, industry, and technical updates to the engineering team.
* Lead engineering team meetings to identify project risks and manage project deadlines.
* Actively contribute to a research and development team to offer solutions and provide innovative proposals to the client.
* Work with the wider team to oversee all detailed designs and standards within the engineering department.
* Provide technical risk awareness to the client and internal engineering teams.
* Identify and implement information to be shared across accounts.
* Manage internal teams with regards to workload and progress and development reviews.
* Manage new members of the team through probation period.
* Work with other areas of the company to improve overall standards and efficiency of our operations.
* Manage the team to get the best results and improve our service.
* key point of contact for all matters internally and externally from a range of different customers, to provide support as required.
* Produce presentations for client performance meeting’s
* Feedback technical information to clients
* Developing cost and sales documentation and costings for different enquiries
What you’ll be doing…
* Working within a multi-disciplined design department and wider business development team, you will co-ordinate with both the internal and external teams to help deliver and support existing contracts and new sales enquiries for industrial and commercial refrigeration systems for clients within the food retail and processing industry.

* Relevant industry qualifications will be a minimum requirement for this role, although relevant experience will also be taken into consideration.
* Good level of education, to include Maths and English. Further education qualifications preferable.
* Good time management;
* Willing to travel to sites across the UK.
