Based at Britannia House, Bradford
We are seeking 2 full-time Environmental Health Officers / Trainee Environmental Health Officers to join the Food Safety Team in our busy Environmental Health Department.
The posts are generic, and you may be required to undertake duties across the Food Safety, Environmental Protection, and Health and Safety teams.

You will proactively engage with businesses and stakeholders to develop and deliver a high-quality, cost-effective, and efficient service aimed at ensuring compliance with legislation, guidance, and best practices in line with Council policies.
You will provide advice on technical, legislative, and enforcement matters related to Environmental Health.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, committed, self-motivated, and possess a ‘can-do’ attitude, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Some unsociable hours may be required, but the flexitime system offers flexibility to support work-life balance.
The EHO position requires a relevant degree/diploma in Environmental Health recognized by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), and registration with the Environmental Health Officers Registration Board (EHORB), or Chartered status/Registration with CIEH.
For the trainee post, you must have a recognized degree/MSc in Environmental Health or be nearing completion of your degree. We offer a structured training program to help you obtain registration with CIEH.
