Are you a passionate and driven Head Chef ready to lead a dynamic kitchen in one of Kents most unique boutique venues
Whod a Thought It Boutique Hotel & Restaurant is a popular and distinctive destination, knownfor its vibrant character, high-quality dining, and exceptional guest experience. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Head Chef to take full ownership of our kitchen operations and lead our talented team to the next level.
The Role
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading, motivating and supervising the kitchen teamwhile overseeing all aspects of food storage, preparation, production, cooking and service across our restaurant, brasserie and banqueting operations.
Youll be energetic, enthusiastic and bring a genuine passion for food, with a commitment todelivering exceptional standards every day.
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure the consistent and smooth running of all food production areas
Manage elective control of stock purchasing, receipt, storage, preparation and service(quality, quantity and safety)
Maintain required operational standards throughout designated opening hours
Deliver consistently high food quality with the aim of exceeding guest expectations
Control food operations to achieve target cost of sales while maximising resources
Maintain security of food, chemicals and equipment in line with Health & Safety Policy
Ensure full compliance with food hygiene and safety legislation, including the Food SafetyAct 1990 and Health & Safety at Work Act
Organise supplier orders and manage costings
Complete kitchen staff rotas
Lead menu planning and create innovative new dishes
Ensure all training & development requirements are completed
Undertake additional duties as directed by the Manager
Ideal Candidate
Proven experience as a Head Chef
Rosette background preferred
Strong experience working with fresh, high-quality produce
Skilled in menu planning and cost control
Excellent leadership and team management skills Passionate about food and delivering high standards
Hard-working, enthusiastic and a strong team player
Must have own transport due to rural location
Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
