Practice Plus Group are pleased to announce that we have taken over the healthcare contract at HMP Wymott, a Category C prison in Lancashire from 1 st April 2025.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse Associate to join our team. The prison houses around 1100 men with a variety of health needs and within this role, you'll be an integral part of our safe and secure medicines management service.
Hours
Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shift patterns are 07:30-18:00 and 07:30-17:30
Salary
You will receive an annual salary of between £28,247 to £32,346 per annum, depending on experience

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse Associate, your responsibilities will vary. You will
* Provide outstanding care to our patients, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them
* You will contribute to and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics as well as assisting
patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
* Deliver non-judgemental care involving anything from health promotion clinics and observations to
supporting the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care within healthcare centres and on wings and house blocks.
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners and stakeholders and
providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within and feel proud of
* Promote best practice, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement embedding a
culture of shared learning. You will promote patient wellbeing through our overarching Wellbeing
* Approach, demonstrating empathy and understanding to our patients.

Qualifications required:
* Qualified Nurse Associate
* Currently registered with the NMC
* Training to level 3 in the safeguarding of vulnerable people
* Demonstrate current/recent preceptorship pathway since joining the NMC register
* Evidence of post registration CPD in areas relating to current practice
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
