Job Title: HGV Driver Location: Chelmsford, Essex Remuneration: £32,000 - £38,000 per annum Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time Responsibilities: Supervise the loading of your LGV Hiab Offload vehicle to ensure products are safely secured and protected. Collaborate with the Transport Manager and Loading Person to verify loads match customer orders. Drive safely and legally, adhering to tachograph laws and driver hour limits. Execute multi-drop deliveries efficiently and safely, ensuring top-notch customer service. Respect customer properties and consult with them or the Transport Manager if unsure about delivery safety. Operate the crane (if applicable) safely to offload goods, or manually offload as necessary. Check off goods with customers, securing digital proof of delivery including signatures and photos. Document any errors and communicate with the Transport Office as needed. Handle customer payments and follow end-of-day cashbox procedures as instructed. Maintain the vehicle's cleanliness and minimise unnecessary damage. Complete vehicle inspection sheets and report any accidents promptly. Support day-to-day operations with general warehouse and yard duties as required. Flexibly work across the business during quieter delivery periods.
