The Role

We are seeking UEFA C Qualified coaches with a proven track record in coaching, developing, and managing players of diverse ages and abilities. The role involves preparing, delivering, and reviewing coaching sessions in Manchester, working closely with Senior Managers. This position is for Manchester City Football Education and is offered on a casual basis.

The role involves coaching players, overseeing team development programs, and contributing to coach development initiatives. The role will predominantly be on the pitch, with occasional classroom sessions (assigned depending on experience of staff). The individuals and groups you'll work with will represent both UK and international territories.

The position provides training and development in delivering the MCFC coaching methodology and Development Pathways. Additionally, it opens doors to UK and international career prospects within the organization.

This opportunity includes the chance to travel when necessary, delivering short-term international projects on behalf of our club partners.

Your Impact

1. The planning, preparation, and delivery of the MCFC coaching curriculum and methodology.

2. Create a positive and professional learning environment while connecting and engaging with the players on the programs.

3. To ensure the high standard of delivery while observing the quality assurance of the program. To always make sure positive player and parental feedback.

4. A positive role model and ambassador for MCFC within both on and off field environments, adhering to the positive attitudes, values, and beliefs of MCFC.

5. To work both independently and collectively as part of the coaching team ensuring a positive experience for all the people involved in our programs.

What we are looking for

Essential

1. Minimum UEFA C / FA Level 2 coaching license.
2. Experience in coaching in education, community, or club setting.
3. Higher Education and/ or management equivalent Qualification.
4. Continued personal development with their local and national FA including safeguarding/ DBS check.
5. The ability to communicate informally and formally with coaches, players, parents, and key business stakeholders.
6. To have good experience in developing players of varying ages and abilities, including reviewing, and evaluating individuals.

Desirable

7. To understand football development and the key areas that develop players of all levels.
8. The ability to work within a positive working environment, providing skills that may develop other coaches.
9. To be proficient in preparing and recording of documents to support the coaching, reviewing the project, and presenting to others internally and externally.
10. To have the interest, ability, and flexibility to travel when required to support international short-, medium- or long-term projects.
11. Youth coaching award or education in football development.
12. To have the drive and ambition to develop personally with guidance of senior coaches.
