Educato is working on behalf of a client SEN school that is looking to expand its support staff within the SEN unit. The school requires two SEN Teaching Assistants to start in September 2025 and continue on a 12-month basis initially. The incoming SEN Teaching Assistants should be ready to work in September 2025.
The Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality support to children with a range of special educational needs at a school based in Bolton. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting individual and small groups of pupils in class and during targeted interventions
2. Assisting with planning and delivering personalized learning activities
3. Helping develop communication, social, and emotional skills
4. Fostering independence and confidence in each child
5. Contributing to detailed observations, assessments, and progress tracking
6. Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support
Qualifications and Skills:
* Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent experience
* Graduates of Psychology and Sociology are encouraged to apply
* A genuine passion for SEN and understanding of different learning needs
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Patience, creativity, and flexibility to adapt to each child's unique journey
* Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, or other additional needs is a bonus
