DevOps Engineer
A fantastic opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join a well-established technology company delivering secure, scalable software solutions within a highly regulated environment. This role will play a key part in driving automation, improving deployment processes, and ensuring the reliability and performance of critical systems. You will work across both cloud and on-premise environments, supporting modern DevOps practices and contributing to continuous delivery and platform evolution.
Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure is essential for this role.
Location: Leicestershire – hybrid, expected in the office at least 2 days per week (some public transport available from Leicester, Rugby and Market Harborough but much easier if you drive)

Requirements for DevOps Engineer:
* Strong commercial experience working in a DevOps or Platform Engineering role
* Experience working within security-focused or highly regulated environments
* Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps
* Experience managing cloud and on-premise infrastructure, particularly within Microsoft environments
* Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration principles
* Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
* Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python or PowerShell
* Experience with monitoring and logging solutions
* Strong troubleshooting skills with excellent attention to detail
* Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across teams
* Eligibility to obtain UK security clearance
Desirable:
* Experience with GitOps and modern deployment strategies
* Exposure to multiple cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
* Experience working in Agile environments
* Degree educated in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Responsibilities for DevOps Engineer:
* Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery
* Administer and optimise cloud and on-premise application environments
* Implement monitoring and logging solutions across systems and applications
* Ensure security best practices are embedded across infrastructure and deployment processes
* Develop scripts and tooling to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency
* Support the full application lifecycle, including troubleshooting and resolving deployment issues
* Manage incidents and requests in line with structured frameworks such as ITIL
* Collaborate closely with software engineering and IT teams to support delivery and reliability
* Contribute to improving system scalability, performance and resilience
