Overview
Cost Engineer role at Nufarm. Based at the Wyke site in the UK, responsible for embedding world-class cost control and forecasting across our c. $95M AUD annual capital project portfolio. Collaborates with the GSO PMO, site leadership, and project teams globally to ensure robust financial governance, accurate cost reporting, and data-driven investment decisions.
How you’ll help us grow
* Develop and implement standardized cost control processes across GSO sites.
* Oversee cost reporting, forecasting, and budget tracking for all capital projects.
* Review and validate project estimates, cost plans, and budgets to ensure accuracy.
* Embed earned value management principles and reporting frameworks across projects.
* Analyze cost trends and variances, proactively managing risks and preventing overruns.
* Lead monthly cost review meetings with GSO and site leadership.
* Support investment cases with robust cost-benefit and cash flow analysis.
* Establish cost benchmarks, KPIs, and best practice frameworks.
* Mentor and develop site-based cost engineers to build internal capability.
Could this be you?
We’re looking for a highly experienced cost management professional with:
* A strong track record of delivering cost control and cost engineering for major capital projects, ideally in manufacturing or industrial environments.
* Proven ability to lead cost processes from feasibility through execution.
* Advanced financial and analytical skills, including modelling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
* Deep knowledge of earned value management principles and application.
* Proficiency in cost management systems such as Oracle, Prism, Cleopatra, and advanced Excel skills.
* Expertise in estimating methodologies, budget development, and funding models.
* Strong influencing skills, able to work across global teams and build credibility at all levels.
