Our stunning care home, Cheadle Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility located in the popular area of Cheadle village, Stockport. The home is registered to provide care for 68 residents with a variety of needs, including residential and nursing care. It reflects the New Care vision of delivering the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care. The home meets all CQC requirements and invests in the latest technology, offering a purposeful program of daily activities and gentle exercise to enhance residents' wellbeing. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, with full induction and ongoing training provided by our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. The home is rated GOOD in all domains by CQC. We have maintained zero agency usage for over 4 years by employing a permanent staff team, ensuring continuity of care and building trust with residents. Across New Care, all staff are paid the national living wage or above.
We are seeking to appoint kind, caring, and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team. You will deliver quality care to residents in line with agreed Care Plans and contribute to the efficient and effective running of the care home. We have full-time contracts available with an hourly rate of £11.50 - £11.70. Shift times are 07:45-20:00, with alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities:
1. To deliver “hands-on” care to residents in a person-centred way.
2. Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life.
3. Model best practice when delivering care.
4. Assist residents in all aspects of their physical, emotional, and spiritual care needs in line with agreed care plans.
5. Contribute to the daily records of residents.
6. Contribute to effective teamwork and undertake delegated tasks efficiently and effectively.
7. Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults in your care.
Skills and experience required:
1. Experience at Care Assistant level in a care environment is preferable.
2. Care certificate or equivalent, or willingness to achieve this within the first 12 months of employment.
3. Evidence of good care practice knowledge relating to the care of older people.
4. Understanding of the 6 principles of care and their role in care delivery in a residential/nursing setting.
5. Ability to work well in a team.
6. Self-motivation and confidence.
