Corporate Analysis
As an analyst, you will support the constabulary in making Hampshire & Isle of Wight safe for everyone. Policing challenges are constant and evolving, and Hampshire continues to build community trust through fair, thorough, transparent, and ethical policing.
We are recruiting analysts for our Corporate Analysis team. You will work on quantitative and qualitative analysis across various policing topics, including crime, organisational insights, performance, and resource demand. Your role involves researching, collecting, assessing, and interpreting information to provide valuable analysis that enhances community safety.
Our team also handles strategic workforce forecasting and analysis, providing insights to support decision-making for workforce development, flexibility, and inclusivity in a changing environment.
We produce reports, briefings, and analytical products to help the force understand workforce capacity, demand, crime impact, and operational performance. We utilize tools like PowerBI, Business Objects, Excel, and data modeling to inform decision-making.
In summary, your work will focus on understanding workforce dynamics, demand and capacity, community crime impacts, and performance, including analysis of attrition, sickness, training, recruitment, and organizational processes, alongside ad hoc projects addressing emerging risks.
Essential Qualifications
Educated to QCF Level 6 or equivalent work experience demonstrating comparable skills.
* Experience with innovative problem-solving approaches
* Experience analyzing complex information
* Effective report writing and presentation skills, capable of engaging all organizational levels
* Confidence debating complex issues in high-level meetings
* Ability to use own initiative and manage time effectively
* Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in building internal and external relationships
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
* Good literacy and numeracy skills
