Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver – Multi-Drop Store Deliveries

Job Overview
We are currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for multi-temperature, multi-drop store deliveries. This role involves delivering goods to retail stores with a combination of cage deliveries and some handballing.
Shifts are available across AM and PM operations, with flexible start times and consistent work available for reliable drivers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Complete multi-drop deliveries (3–10 drops per shift)
2. Carry out store deliveries using cages and occasional handball
3. Use a PDA system to confirm and process deliveries at each location
4. Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and on time
5. Follow all driver hours, WTD and site compliance rules
6. Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach at all times
Shift Patterns
7. AM Shifts: £ Start times from 03:00 (typically from 06:00 for agency drivers)
8. PM / Afternoon Shifts: Start times from 12:00 Last deliveries typically completed by 22:00
9. Minimum 8 hours guaranteed pay per shift
Breaks
10. 45-minute deduction for Tacho vehicles
11. 30-minute deduction for non-Tacho shifts (including shunters)
Induction
12. Standard induction: Approx. 4 hours
13. Reduced induction may be conducted due to demand
14. Inductions typically start at 06:00
15. Immediate starts available following successful induction
Driver Requirements
16. Valid HGV Class 2 Licence
17. Digital Tachograph Card & CPC Card (in date)
18. Maximum 6 penalty points (no DR, DG, DD codes – none active or expired)
19. Minimum 6 months licence holding
20. Minimum 3 months driving experience
21. Ability to commit to shifts (especially Thurs–Sat availability preferred)
22. Comfortable with multi-drop and physical aspects of the role
Additional Information
23. Drivers completing less than 6 hours must obtain permission to leave site and ensure timesheets are authorised
24. Shunters must be flexible to work up to 10-hour shifts
