This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful security company specializing in Security / Access Control Systems, serving some of the largest Utility companies across the UK within the National Grid Technology Framework. The Planner will advise, guide, and manage site functions related to health, safety, environmental, and quality issues, ensuring site compliance.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Identify, understand, communicate, and adhere to contractual obligations regarding the project schedule.
2. Produce a project schedule compliant with contractual and project requirements for time, cost, quality, and scope.
3. Allocate costs from the project estimate to the project schedule.
4. Coordinate with the Project Manager, Engineering teams, and subcontractors to gather information necessary for creating and maintaining a realistic project schedule.
5. Monitor project performance and progress, providing accurate status reports.
6. Identify critical schedule areas and risks proactively to enable timely management actions.
7. Identify opportunities for schedule improvement, time, and cost savings.
8. Manage change/emergent scope and incorporate it into the project schedule.
9. Prepare clear reports and presentations.
10. Present project schedules, KPIs, and narratives to the Project Manager and clients.
11. Manage multiple project schedules across various contracts.
12. Be aware of how planning impacts safety, quality, and cost considerations.
13. Use Primavera P6 and Excel to provide prompt, accurate, and regular information.
14. Be fully conversant with Earned Value Management and project performance analysis.
15. Develop and communicate resource requirements to meet project timelines.
Experience & Qualifications
1. Relevant experience in EICA and Engineering.
2. Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
3. Proficiency in MS Project and Excel.
4. Knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts.
5. Relevant HNC/Degree qualification.
6. QCF Diploma Level 3/5 in Planning.
7. APMP Practitioner certification.
8. Relevant CPD-supported craft training.
