SEN Teaching Assistant - Southend-on-Sea
Position: Full-Time | 1:1 SEN Support | Primary School
Are you dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Southend-on-Sea. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on a one-to-one basis, playing a vital role in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities
1. Support a pupil with ASD on a 1:1 basis, helping to create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
2. Work closely with teachers to deliver and adapt personalised learning plans.
3. Provide targeted interventions, both individually and in small groups, to develop academic, social, and emotional skills.
4. Help reinforce key learning concepts and promote positive behaviour.
5. Record and monitor progress, sharing insights with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
6. Collaborate with external agencies, including therapists and support services, to ensure a holistic approach to the pupil's development.
What We're Looking For
1. Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs, particularly in a school or similar setting.
2. A compassionate, proactive, and flexible approach to learning support.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
5. Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support (desirable but not essential).
