Are you a passionate and experienced chef ready to lead a kitchen team in very easy and simple cafe menu? We're looking for a Head Chef to take the reins and bring creativity, consistency, and leadership to our kitchen.
About the Role:
As Head Chef, you'll be responsible for the overall management of the kitchen, including menu planning, team training, stock control, and ensuring consistently high standards of food quality and hygiene. You'll lead by example and be a driving force behind the continued success of our food offering
Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation.
* Oversee all aspects of food production, including menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and portion control.
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment while adhering to food safety regulations.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques and hospitality best practices.
* Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
* Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
* Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards before serving.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy kitchen environment
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Passion for fresh, seasonal food and creative menu development
* Excellent understanding of kitchen operations, health & safety, and cost control
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and keep the team motivated
* Level 2 or 3 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £30,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
