About The Role
The Workdry Group has seen enormous growth over recent years and is scaling up its investment in technology to drive greater customer engagement and operational efficiency. Due to this we are recruiting an additional IT Support Technician to help support our current IT Helpdesk Team. You'll provide technical support to end-users, maintaining hardware and software deployed to end users, whilst ensuring the security and efficiency of our IT environment, and liaising with infrastructure support were required. Main Responsibilities include:
1. Provide helpdesk support for all computer users covering all Workdry systems, software, hardware, cybersecurity, general computer operation, logging calls placed with external support companies when necessary.
2. Mobile devices - Order new connections, accessories and upgrades and provide support for all company mobile device users. Manage and maintain mobile device management software and ensure all details are up to date.
3. Support and provide first line trouble shooting for the computer network, including but not limited to branch connections, Wi-Fi access points, routers, and switches. Escalating to senior members of the team when required.
4. Ensure that all IT equipment is recorded correctly in the data base and is updated accordingly, assigned to the correct user, and audited on a regular basis.
5. Assist with the setup and deployment of new equipment within agreed processes and timeframes.
6. Undertaking small to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the IT Support and Implementation Manager to support the IT team and wider business objectives.
7. Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues.
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for someone who is confident in their own knowledge, with the ability to problem solve on their own initiative. An individual who is looks for ways to continuously improve on the service we offer and our ways of working would be a great fit for our team.
8. Proven experience as an IT Support Technician or in a similar position.
9. A Level (or similar qualification) in ICT.
10. Degree in an IT related field would be desirable, but is not essential.
11. ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) foundation.
12. Driving licence endorsed with no more than 6 points at any one time.
13. Able and willing to drive to different sites within the UK to meet the needs of the business.
14. Proven track record of being proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
15. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
16. Knowledge of network configurations, including local and wide area network and Wi-Fi.
17. Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and antivirus software.
18. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
