Description of the department The Operational Due Diligence Intern will work within the existing Operational Due Diligence team reporting to the Head of Operational Due Diligence. The role will focus on performing initial AML screening for all investments within the AXA Prime platform, while also supporting the ongoing monitoring activities for existing managers. The Intern will assist with broader ODD initiatives, contributing to the team's continuous improvement efforts. The position provides exposure to a diverse range of asset classes, as AXA Prime invests and advises in hedge funds, private equity, private debt, and infrastructure strategies through its external managers team. Your role and responsibilities will include Conduct AML/CTF due diligence of manager and fund, including: Identification of Manager and Fund UBO or, if unavailable, the SMO Conducting WorldCheck screening of manager and fund entities, as well as UBO/SMO Assigning AML risk ratings based on the Compliance Matrix Preparing AML reports and submitting additional data to global AML screening programs; Conduct ongoing monitoring activities for approved Managers, including: Media monitoring, escalating any negative news stories pertaining to the manager or fund to the Head of ODD and Front Office Team Distribution and review of manager annual ODD questionnaire Conduct annual monitoring reviews with invested managers to ensure risk profile of the manager has not changed since the last ODD review Review of the fund's most recent audited financial statement Written updated operational due diligence reports for presentation to the Investment Committee; Other Operational Due Diligence responsibilities, including: Assisting team members during manager due diligence meetings, providing support in the preparation, note-taking, and follow-up procedures. Maintaining and updating the CeNTRL ODD system to ensure all data and documentation remain accurate and current Assist with ad-hoc projects as required Qualifications Education Skills & Experience Studying at university preferably with a specialisation in Finance, Economics, Management or Business (or other relevant fields) on a 4-year degree course with 3rd year work placement included Technical Skills Excellent organisational skills, time management and attention to details Advanced knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint Ability to work independently and efficiently in a team Analytical ability Effective communication including verbal, written & presentational Creative thinking, capability to develop innovative solutions and challenge consensus Fluency in English, any other language is a plus Experience Interest in private markets (ie private equity, private debt, infrastructure, etc.) or wish to learn about it What we offer This internship is an excellent opportunity to discover an international working environment.
