This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Qualifications
* Enthusiastic, well organised and proactive.

* Excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a wide range of complex activities.
* Experience of working with external stakeholders.
* Undergraduate degree level or equivalent.
* Proven experience of providing high-level support to senior level staff and/or research groups.
* Experience of working with stakeholders or industry, and a broad knowledge of the funding mechanisms for supporting research.
* Excellent organisational skills, with a high ability to plan, prioritise and manage own work; maintaining multiple projects simultaneously.
* Flexible approach to work and a good attention to detail.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, support or coordinate colleagues; readiness to take on line management responsibilities.
* A team player who can also work independently and manage competing demands on time.
* Fully competent using Microsoft Office 365.
* Ability to problem solve logistics.
Responsibilities
* Report to the Head of Faculty Research Operations and work closely with the Director of Research and Innovation to provide comprehensive administrative support for the Research Excellence Framework (REF), collaborating with the Unit of Assessment Leader, external REF Administrators and managers, and the Faculty Research Office. Support school activity to increase research funding and maintain strategic partnerships with industry and other external stakeholders.
* Collate and manage research data to support the annual IPE exercise and provide research data (grant applications, publications, grants held, Post-Graduate Researcher submission rates) to the School Management Team as required.
