Mission
Responsible for the daily operation of the Flight Information Service at West Wales Airport, ensuring compliance with CAA regulations and local procedures.
Responsibilities
* Conducting basic flight planning tasks.
* Liaise with Government Agencies when required
* Be an active part of the FISO team and assist with administrative duties.
* Attend operational flight planning briefings with based operators.
* Review Airport quality manuals.
* Provide unofficial MET observations.
* Conduct airfield inspections and report unserviceabilities.
* Assist with NOTAMs and aerodrome information updates.
* Support the training of new FISOs.
* Liaise with RFFS to ensure adequate coverage.
* Manage ATS email and PPR admin.
* Coordinate refuelling and handling services.
* Attend relevant training courses.
* Duties may evolve based on operational needs.
Profile and requirements
* CAA FISO Licence.
* SC Clearance Mandatory
* ROCC (Radio Operator Competence Certificate).
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Proficiency in Word and Excel.
* Previous experience as an Air Traffic Control Officer (ATCO) – civilian or military.
* Previous experience as a Flight Information Service Officer (FISO).
* Holder or former holder of a pilot’s license (LAPL/PPL or commercial).
* Experience with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
