Role Overview:

As Spa Treatment Manager you will be responsible for the flawless running of our newest site, Yu Spa Edinburgh. You will take pride in creating a relaxing retreat within the hotel, giving guests a memorable, friendly spa experience. No two days are the same and being able to multitask, prioritise and self-motivate is key. You will be leading, mentoring, and inspiring the spa team while working alongside other hotel team members. You will be a trusted advisor to the key stakeholders in the spa team along with the Head of Spa who you will report into. Your main responsibilities are:

1. Responsible for all daily Yu Spa Treatment operations, including scheduling of staff to meet business demand and ensuring high levels of guest service, cleanliness, and knowledge of services. This includes delivering treatments yourself as the business needs require.
2. Monitor and control KPIs within the department focusing on occupancy, utilisation, and yield within beauty treatment.
3. A focus on Self-development and development of the Spa team to ensure that you and your team are the best you can be, with our family values of Trust, Friendliness, Teamwork and Passion at the heart of everything that you do.
4. Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness exist in all areas of responsibility and that this is maintained and regularly checked in accordance with H&S requirements.
5. Receive, manage, and respond to all guest feedback via all channels including Reviewpro. To resolve any guest issues when they arise and share feedback as appropriate with all team members.

About you

On your first day you will begin a structured 12 week learning journey, giving you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be a great Spa Treatment Manager. With this in mind, we are looking for a Spa Treatment Manager who can display:

6. Experience - You’ll have previous management experience in a quality spa setting, ideally in a hotel.
7. Enthusiasm – you will bring a true passion for spa, along with your genuine smile and desire to get it right for the guests and team members.
8. Resilience – You will have the ability to multi-task and organise a variable workload. There will be times you will be in the treatment room, you will also be leading and showcasing the spa to our guests and you will be training and developing your team.
9. Leadership – you’ll lead the Spa team to deliver on their every daily routines while building the brilliance. You’ll inspire, mentor and energise the team to reach their full potential.
