The Role
To collect blood samples by venepuncture or capillary route from Locality patients within the Health Centre, GP Practices and Hospital
In this key role, you will:
* Adherence to NHS Lanarkshire policies and procedures relevant to all areas of work and regulatory requirements. These would include the following but may not be limited:
* Health and Safety Policy in particular Infection Control and needle stick injury.
* NHS Lanarkshire policy on hospital acquired infection.
* Patient Confidentiality Policy.
* Risk Management.
What You'll Bring
* A certificate in venepuncture is essential.
* Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is required.
* Previous experience preferred.
* Require intensive one-to-one supervised training for an initial period of three months and regular updating of skills thereafter.
