The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join the school’s upper key stage two team. You will:
Teach a Year 6 class, ensuring pupils are challenged and supported to achieve their full potential.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments, while maintaining a broad and creative curriculum.
Use assessment effectively to monitor progress, inform planning and provide feedback to pupils and parents.
Support pupils in developing resilience, independence, and a love of learning.
Contribute positively to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and pastoral support.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain the high standards expected by the school and community.
Person Specification
We are looking for a teacher who:
Holds QTS (or equivalent) and has proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2.
Has a secure understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and the expectations of end-of-key-stage assessments.
Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire pupils.
Is reflective, ambitious and committed to their own professional development.
Is a team player with strong communication and organisational skills.
Shares the school’s commitment to high expectations, resilience and ambition for all learners.
