Fleet, Procurement and Facilities provide department-wide level of support within the fields of Fleet, Procurement, Government Housing and the management of the Kensington Facilities.
We currently have an opportunity for two Principal Procurement Officers to join our team.
The Principal Procurement Officers are responsible for:
1. Developing and managing tender processes for medium/high-risk and value procurements.
2. Offering expert guidance to senior stakeholders on Procurement planning, policy interpretation, contract formation, and contract management ensuring compliance with policies and delivering value-for money-outcomes.
3. Oversees contract lifecycle activities including extensions, variations, and exemption requests.
4. Building and maintaining effective relationships across Government, industry, and the community to support successful procurement outcomes.
5. Manages and supports team members to assist in the successful outcomes of contract development.

Selection Criteria
Applicants should address the following five (5) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than four (4) pages in total.
6. Considerable experience in procurement environments working with complex tender and contract formation, within Government or equivalent industry.
7. Considerable experience in procurement processes including tender and contract preparation, management and administration, and contract negotiation and time and financial management.
8. Evidence of your ability to deliver effective solutions to complex Procurement challenges.
9. Evidence of high-level oral communication and interpersonal skills and experience in effectively liaising and negotiating with external organisations including, local and State government, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
10. Considerable experience in high level leadership, supervisory, organisational and program planning and human resource management skills. Including a demonstrated ability to promote staff development, deal with contentious issues and improve performance, empowering staff to achieve agreed outcomes.
