What is the job role?
This is an exciting opportunity to start your career within local government as a Bereavement Administrator Apprentice.
You will support the Bereavement Services team in providing a high-quality, customer-focused service. This includes:
1. Handling enquiries by phone, email and in person
2. Providing clear information and guidance to customers in a sensitive and professional manner
3. Using internal systems to record information accurately
4. Supporting administrative tasks such as filing, printing, photocopying and data entry
5. Liaising with funeral directors, faith groups and other service areas
6. Learning how we manage cremation and burial bookings
7. Ensuring all work is carried out with dignity, confidentiality and care
You will undertake the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship standard. Further information for this apprenticeship can be found on:
This apprenticeship role is a fixed term contract for 21 months in line with the length of the apprenticeship training.
The post will be based in our offices at Bereavement Services, The Lodge, Canley Cemetery & Crematorium.
All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
