Role Summary We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team and assist in analysing data, generating insightful reports, and supporting decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, be proficient in data management and reporting tools, and have a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions that improve efficiency and performance. Key Responsibilities Gather and interpret data from various sources (databases, CRM systems, external sources, etc.). Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights. Work closely with stakeholders to understand business objectives and align analyses with strategic goals. Act as a data champion to ensure data requirements are considered and effectively met at all stages of the software development lifecycle. Influence and advocate data-led decision making within your team. Develop, design, and deliver regular and ad hoc reports and dashboards to visualise key metrics and insights for different departments (e.g., finance, marketing, sales, operations). Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts. Translate complex data into understandable and compelling reports tailored to nontechnical stakeholders. Work with data engineers to ensure your team’s data is timely, accurate and accessible. Conduct regular audits and validation checks on datasets to ensure compliance with data standards. Technical & Soft Skills Essential: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, statistics, or related field, and/or significant experience in data analytics role; preferably both. Proven ability to deliver value through insights, reporting and analysis. Comfortable using SQL to retrieve, manipulate and filter data. Experience building interactive dashboards (preferably using Looker) that support decision making. Excellent communication skills; able to explain concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Knowledge of statistics and probability. Data intuition – an understanding of biases present in real-world data and strategies to deal with them. Desirable: Experience within the customer service industry, retail energy, and/or a SaaS company. Python coding skills. Experience with Databricks. Knowledge of data engineering / ETL processes. Knowledge of experimental design, experience with a/b tests.
