Locum Occupational Therapy Deputy Manager – Social Care
Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist ready to step into a leadership role? We’re seeking a proactive and motivated Deputy Manager to lead a dedicated Occupational Therapy team within a progressive adult social care service.
This hybrid role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to shape service delivery and outcomes across the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of therapists and customer support officers, overseeing daily operations and delegating workloads
* Triage new referrals and direct them to appropriate services
* Carry out telephone assessments for simple equipment provision to reduce referral pressure
* Respond to urgent equipment requests and coordinate timely interventions
* Support team development, inductions, and CQC readiness
* Supervise staff and contribute to service planning and quality improvement
Requirements:
* HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
* Experience supervising or managing within OT or social care
* Strong background in community-based or adult OT services
* Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
* Knowledge of social care legislation and strengths-based practice
