The Vacancy
JOB PURPOSE:
To assist in carrying out major/minor planned and reactive maintenance works at Distribution Centres to pre-determined standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist the Distribution Maintenance Technician (DMT) with any major or minor maintenance work.
2. Complete the PPM and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately according to laid-down procedures.
3. Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk, assess the requirements of the job, and carry out repairs as necessary.
4. Prioritise and complete minor maintenance and repair work within agreed timescales.
5. Ensure all tools and equipment necessary for minor maintenance and repairs are available and in good condition at all times.
6. Although aligned to one site for PPM completion, the DMA may be required to attend other depots within the cluster to carry out work.
7. Attend training courses as required by the company.
8. Comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times.
9. Work with company and ASDA colleagues to maintain quality standards.
10. Follow any other reasonable requests or instructions from the DMT, SMT, or CFM.
11. Assist City teams when requested.
12. Represent the company professionally and develop good working relationships with City and ASDA colleagues.
13. Carry out tasks in accordance with specific KPIs.
14. Ensure all costs are approved following the correct process.
15. Maintain accurate timesheets as required.
