Accounts Assistant
On site - Maidstone - Ashford side up to £30,000 Monday to Friday - flex hours - 8am or 9am start - 40 hour week
There are no public transport links, therefore, own transport required.
My client are expanding their team with the addition of an Accounts Administrator, this is a stand alone position and a new role within the team, and it does require the specific Accounts experience as detailed below. Ideally you will be AAT qualified to ensure best practice.
Are you an experienced and detail-driven Bookkeeper or Accounts Assistant who enjoys bringing structure, accuracy and calm to busy finance operations?
This is an in-house role, working closely with the Manager, where you'll be trusted to keep the numbers accurate, the systems tidy and suppliers paid on time.
This opportunity would suit someone who genuinely enjoys running the fundamentals properly. Processing, reconciling, tracking and maintaining clean, reliable financial records in a high-volume payment environment
Key Responsibilities or the Accounts Assistant
Processing purchase invoices, bank transactions and completing bank reconciliations
Managing accounts payable and receivable, invoicing and payment processing
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in Xero, with supporting tracking in Excel
Supporting with VAT
Assisting your Manager with month-end and year-end close processes
Providing ad hoc finance and administrative support as needed
Skills & Experience
2-3+ years' experience in a bookkeeping or accounts assistant role
Strong working knowledge of Xero and confidence handling high-volume processing
Highly organised, detail-focused and discreet, with a strong sense of integrity
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of core finance tasks
Interviews taking place at the beginning of February.
