What we’re looking for: We are seeking a confident and interpersonal individual with a passion for hospitality who enjoys working with people and leads with a positive, natural leadership style. Ideally you will have supervisory experience in a hospitality setting and the ability to motivate a team. You should be eager to learn, able to pick up tasks and new skills quickly, and confident in speaking with guests to resolve queries while coaching and empowering the team.
Day in the life
The main objective is to enhance guest experiences by supporting the Restaurant Manager in day-to-day operations. Lead and inspire the team to maintain high standards and seamless shifts. Responsibilities include recruitment and training, addressing guest concerns promptly, and seizing opportunities to boost revenue by promoting services. Your role goes beyond supervision to crafting exceptional moments for every guest who walks through our doors. You will help drive revenue by informing guests about all products and services and upselling lunch and/or dinner during their stay.
Example Key Responsibilities
* Lead and run both lunch and dinner shifts in the absence of the Restaurant General Manager, including organising pre-shift briefs and delegating tasks as needed
* Ensure thorough open and close down of the restaurant and adherence to brand standards
* Cash up and manage cash handling in line with the Hotels Cash Handling Mandate
* Take restaurant bookings and answer enquiries professionally and promptly
* Use emails in a professional manner
* Manage pre-orders for groups of 8 or more
* Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant at all times
* Restock fridges and ensure stock rotation is adhered to
* Maintain strong relationships with Restaurant and Kitchen teams and the management team, ensuring smooth operation
* During supervisory shifts, monitor team members to ensure correct void procedures; cater for special occasions (e.g., complimentary anniversary drinks and table decorations)
* Handle hotel duty management shifts and escalate customer complaints professionally
* Train and coach new and existing team members to provide high levels of customer care in line with brand standards
