Are you a people‑focused leader with experience in fast‑paced manufacturing? We’re looking for an Operations Team Manager to lead one operations shift team, driving safety, quality, and performance within a highly regulated environment.
In this pivotal role, you will lead operations of a designated process area, ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient production of high-quality pharmaceutical products. You will inspire a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and team development through strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring.
The Role:
Operations Leadership
3. Lead the operation team to deliver safe, compliant, high‑quality production.
4. Ensure all critical processes are fully staffed and running efficiently.
Health & Safety
5. Champion site Health & Safety standards.
6. Conduct investigations and maintain up‑to‑date risk assessments.
Quality & Compliance
7. Promote cGMP compliance and maintain an “Always Audit Ready” culture.
8. Ensure batch records are completed accurately and on time.
Continuous Improvement
9. Lead deviation investigations (RCA, 5Y) and drive preventative actions.
10. Reduce waste, improve processes, and enhance equipment reliability.
People Leadership
11. Coach, develop, and motivate a team of up to 15 employees.
12. Manage performance, attendance, and communication to support business goals.
The Candidate:
13. Proven experience in leading operational teams within a manufacturing environment.
14. Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or other quality-controlled environments.
15. Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to lead structured root‑cause investigations.
16. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) (JD Edwards, Trackwise desirable)
17. Positive, energetic approach with strong communication skills.
18. Ability to prioritise effectively in a dynamic, fast‑moving environment.
19. Passionate about developing people and driving performance excellence.
