We are seeking a highly dedicated, compassionate, and reliable Brain Injury Support Worker to provide tailored support to a 30-year-old individual undergoing rehabilitation. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity, and overall wellbeing.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the individual’s recovery journey, assisting with both physical rehabilitation and daily living activities, while fostering a safe, structured, and positive environment.
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week; applicants who are not available to commit to full-time hours are kindly requested not to submit an application. Key Responsibilities
• Rehabilitation & Mobility Support
Assist with prescribed rehabilitation programmes, including physical exercises and mobility routines, ensuring they are carried out safely and consistently to support recovery progress.
• Personal Care & Daily Living Assistance
Provide support with essential daily activities such as eating, transferring (e.g. bed to chair), and general personal care, always maintaining respect, dignity, and comfort.
• Environment Management
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe living environment, ensuring the individual’s space is conducive to both recovery and day-to-day comfort.
• Emotional & Social Support
Encourage engagement in daily activities and provide companionship to enhance overall quality of life and emotional wellbeing.
• Monitoring & Reporting
Observe and report any changes in physical or cognitive condition, ensuring clear communication with relevant parties involved in the individual’s care.
Role Details
• Location: Kingston upon Thames (KT2)
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Pay Rate:
• £18 per hour (weekdays)
• £20 per hour (weekends)
Requirements
• Experience:
Proven experience working with individuals with brain injuries or additional needs is essential.
• Skills & Attributes:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• High level of empathy, patience, and professionalism
• Ability to follow structured care plans and rehabilitation programmes
• Reliable, organised, and attentive to detail
• Additional:
• A clean driving licence is preferred but not mandatory
