About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, highly organised and motivated individuals to join the All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre (AWTTC).
The AWTTC is a multi‑professional organisation that provides NHS Wales with a portfolio of prescribing and medicines optimisation services and offers dedicated administrative, technical and professional support to the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG) in developing medicines optimisation projects and playing an integral role in the monitoring and managed entry of medicines within NHS Wales.
VPAG Programme
The Voluntary Scheme for Branded Medicines Pricing, Access and Growth (VPAG) was agreed by the UK government, NHS England, and the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) in December 2023. The aim of the programme is to develop and test innovative approaches to medicine assessment to improve processes related specifically to access and uptake of new medicines.
Responsibilities
* Work with AWTTC to deliver a work programme aligned to the ambitions of VPAG.
* Collate and provide information that is integral to the use of medicines within Wales and assist with the delivery of a number of work streams that sit under the VPAG Programme.
* Collect, analyse, and interpret complex data to identify opportunities for improvement.
* Develop bespoke data collection tools and apply statistical techniques to support evidence‑based decision making.
* Present findings clearly to inform decisions and measure the impact of initiatives.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver impactful insights and support the implementation of initiatives.
Qualifications
* Strong analytical skills and a passion for using data to drive improvement.
* Experience developing bespoke data collection tools and applying statistical techniques.
* Ability to present findings clearly to a range of audiences.
* Welsh speaking desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
