We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and motivated person to work on a permanent basis within one of our Extra Care schemes as an Extra Care Night Support Worker. The Orchard is based in Combe Down, Bath.
This role is for waking night of 25 hours per week, the shifts run from 9.30pm to 8am the following day. The successful applicant will join a well-established to deliver high quality care to individuals in their own homes. You will be working on a part time basis on a fixed 4-week rota which will include weekends and bank holidays.
What is Extra Care?
Extra Care Housing is for adults, who have some care needs, with an assured tenancy in a self-contained flat in a purpose-built or adapted scheme. Our Extra care housing services have been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in June 2022.
As an Extra Care Night Support Worker, you will:
* Assist tenants with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing
* Promote tenant’s independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering the best standards of care
* Adhere to and complete accurate and timely records of the care and support provided to tenants
* Providing support to access third party and NHS services
* Be a strong team player and work on own initiative when needed
* Promote lifestyle choice, offering individuals the opportunity and motivation to retain independence and stay in control of their lives.
About You
Previous experience of working in care would be an advantage, but a commitment to deliver quality care is essential and full training will be provided. This opportunity is ideal for an individual aiming to develop their career and gain hands on experience in a thriving and friendly workplace.
