Senior Town Planner

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a respected planning consultancy in the search for a Senior Town Planner to join their expanding team in Stamford. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented planning professional to work across a broad mix of projects within a supportive and well-connected consultancy.
As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals across a range of residential and mixed-use schemes. The role offers excellent exposure to both private and public sector clients and the chance to work on both local and regionally significant developments.
Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of planning projects from inception through to delivery
Prepare planning statements, design & access statements, and planning appraisals
Engage with local authorities, clients, and stakeholders
Support and guide junior members of the team
Keep up to date with local and national planning policy changes
Requirements:
MRTPI status (or working towards it)
Minimum 3+ years of town planning experience, ideally in consultancy or local authority
Strong report-writing and communication skills
Good commercial awareness and client-facing ability
Confident working on a range of planning applications and appeals
