I’m currently working with a weing and inclusive primary school in Blackburn that is seeking a Reception Class Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with EHCPs (Education Health Care Plans). This is a fantastic opportunity to support young learners at a crucial stage in their development.
Your new role
1. Supporting pupils with EHCPs to access learning and reach their full potential.
2. Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support strategies.
3. Promoting positive behaviour, independence, and engagement in learning.
4. Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for early years pupils.
What you'll need to succeed
5. Experience working in EYFS, ideally supporting children with SEN or EHCPs.
6. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
7. Strongmunication and teamwork skills.
8. A genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
