Job Description

Eligibility Criteria

* Have previously been a substantive serving Police Officer within a UK Home Office Police Force
* Lived in the UK continuously for the past three years
* Resigned, but not retired, from your role as a Police Officer


Recruitment Process

* Interview with an Inspector and Sergeant


Onboarding Process

* Vetting and Medical Checks
* References
* Transfer of training records from previous force (Recruitment Team to request)
* Fitness & Biometrics Day
* Offer & Start Date


Initial Training

We will determine the level of training required from your answers on the application form, considerations will be based on your time away from policing, level of experience and level of qualifications.


Posting

At West Midlands Police our main priority is ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the communities we serve. To ensure we are able to provide the best possible service we must make sure all operational postings are filled. All Transferees will be posted into areas where the organisation requires them to be. Your qualifications, experiences and choice of location will be considered; however, the requirements of our communities come first in all posting decisions.

Vetting

Successful applicants will be required to pass Recruitment Vetting and Counter Terrorism Clearance scrutiny prior to commencing their role. This will include a full background & financial disclosure as part of the vetting process.


Medical

Appointment to this role will be dependent upon successfully medical checks, which may include a drugs test and if required a fitness test.
