Leader Education are excited to be recruiting a Psychology Graduate (Or Related) Learning Support Assistant to join a large, well-established SEND school in Peterlee. About the role:
* Full-time, long-term position following a successful trial
* Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
* Supporting pupils in accessing the curriculum and engaging in classroom activities
* Building positive, trusting relationships to support learning, wellbeing and development
The ideal candidate will:
* Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND and/or PMLD (desirable)
* Hold a relevant educational background or experience related to the role
* Be adaptable, patient and committed to meeting a wide range of individual needs
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Understand the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* Hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
