The Role
As General Manager, you will be the driving force behind the property’s operational and commercial success. You’ll lead from the front, inspiring your team to deliver exceptional service while ensuring the hotel continues to thrive as a premier destination in the New Forest.
Key Responsibilities
* Full responsibility for hotel operations across rooms, F&B, and events
* Ensuring consistently high service standards and guest satisfaction
* Overseeing a busy and diverse events calendar, including weddings
* Delivering commercial targets, revenue growth, and cost management
* Leading, developing, and motivating a high‑performing hospitality team
* Acting as brand ambassador, building strong relationships with guests, suppliers, and the local community
* Ensuring effective compliance, health & safety, and property standards
About You
You will be a confident leader who combines commercial acumen with exceptional people skills and a genuine passion for hospitality.

* Has proven experience as a General Manager or equivalent senior hotel management experience (preferably in a boutique / luxury / country house setting)
* Thrives in a hands‑on, guest‑focused environment
