The Senior Content Manager at Hargreaves Lansdown is responsible for leading the strategic development, execution, and optimisation of compelling and innovative content across multiple channels. This role leads a team of content specialists including two Social Media Managers, two SEO Writers, and a Senior Marketing Copywriter. The Senior Content Manager ensures that all content aligns with brand guidelines, supports business and customer needs and engages target audiences incredibly effectively.
What you'll be doing
* Leading the content strategy and editorial calendar to support marketing campaigns and business priorities.
* Managing and mentor a team of content professionals, fostering collaboration, innovation and professional development.
* Overseeing the creation and optimisation of market-leading content for SEO, social media, and marketing communications.
* Ensuring consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all content outputs.
* Collaborating with stakeholders across marketing, product, and compliance to align content with strategic goals, ensuring it is client-focused and compliant at all times. Providing insight and influencing stakeholders as required.
* Analysing content performance metrics and implement improvements based on insights to meet performance and content objectives.
* Maintaining the highest production and editorial standards and ensure all content is optimally engaging for new and existing audiences, identifying white space for new content ideas in the marketplace.
* Driving innovation in content formats and distribution strategies to enhance audience engagement.
* Managing content workflows, approvals, and publishing schedules efficiently.
About you
* Previous experience within Financial Services.
* Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
* Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
* Proficiency in content management systems and digital publishing tools.
* Solid understanding of SEO, social media, and content marketing best practices as well as full marketing funnel.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills including the ability to influence and negotiate
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive content performance.
* Proven experience in a senior content or editorial role, preferably within financial services or a regulated industry.
* Demonstrated success in managing content teams and delivering multi-channel content strategies.
* Strong portfolio of published content across various formats and platforms.

This role is based in our Bristol head office (BS1 5HL) and we offer a hybrid working pattern, with a minimum of two days in the office per week.
