The Role
As the Band 7 OT Clinical Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Occupational Therapy services within stroke care. Working closely with multi-professional leads.
Main duties of the job
To provide expert clinical support and advise, alongside the Physiotherapy Team Leader, linking closely with multi-professional colleagues.
To hold a clinical caseload, providing excellent, high-quality person-centred clinical management, including patients who have complex acute and chronic presentations, determining the functional deficits and OT treatment within an acute setting.
To strive to provide a service fit for today and the future, considering and inputting into the latest evidence-based practice, developing personal leadership to support clinical and service growth and staff development.
The post holder will be the Clinical Specialist to support and facilitate Occupational Therapy Service with key roles in the development of a competent, knowledgeable workforce, equipping them to provide high-quality person-centred care.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide assessment, treatment, advice, evaluation and clinical management at an advanced level for patients who have complex, acute and chronic presentations.
Participation in a 7-day working roster and bank holiday cover.
